Why we built Gopher Backup

Most backup services make promises they can't keep. "Unlimited" storage with hidden limits. Shared infrastructure you know nothing about. Support that's really just a chatbot. We built Gopher Backup because we wanted something different — a backup service that's honest about what it offers and serious about where your data lives.

Your files are stored on private servers we own and operate in the United States. Not on shared cloud infrastructure. Not in a data center we've never visited. We know exactly where your data is because we built the system ourselves.

Who we are

Red 1 Solutions LLC is a technology company based in Las Vegas, Nevada. We build and operate infrastructure for small businesses and home users who want reliable, transparent technology services.

Gopher Backup launched in 2026 as our first consumer-facing product. We chose the name because gophers are relentless — they work underground, quietly and persistently, keeping things running. That's exactly what good backup software should do.

How we operate

We run a three-tier redundancy system for every backup:

Primary server → Local disaster recovery replica → Encrypted offsite cloud backup

If anything goes wrong with one tier, your data exists on two others. We monitor our infrastructure 24/7 and aim to resolve any issues before customers notice them.

Backup in your language

Gopher Backup speaks your language — literally. Both the desktop client and account console are fully available in 17 languages, so you're never stuck navigating backup software in a language you don't use day-to-day. See the full list on our FAQ page.

Our commitment to honesty

We price our plans clearly — Solo $10, Family $20, Pro $45. No hidden fees, no price increases without 30 days notice, no "unlimited" promises we can't keep. What you see on our pricing page is exactly what you pay.

We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we don't share your information with third parties except the handful of trusted services we use to operate — Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for DNS, and Wasabi for offsite redundancy.
